Space Engineers - Step by Step: Blueprints

What are Blueprints, how do you use them, and how do you make one of your own ship?
Well, blueprints are exactly what they're supposed to be: A blueprint of your ship, where you can see, which block has to be placed where. You can create blueprints of small ships, large ships and stations.

The blueprint menu is F10, and to add a new one, just press ctrl + b, when facing the object you wanna blueprint. It'll take some time and lag, but after a few seconds the F10 Blueprint menu opens, and your ship is listed. Since it takes a screenshot from your current position, it's best, to fly a bit away first, and take a picture you'll be able to identify with the ship.

So all you need to know: Face something - ctrl + b.

Building a Ship of off a blueprint:

- At first, you need a Projector. It doesn't matter which way you set it up, since you can adjust the projected ship at any time. But keep in Mind: a large projector can only build large ships, while a small projector can only build small ships.

- Select the Ship you like to build. You can now directly start welding the components. This only works, if you're welding a block which is connected to the projector. Press "Show only Buildable" in the settings to see which one is next. Once a block is finished, the next ones will become aviable. This is a necessary circumstance when you like to automatize building by connecting several welders (or the projector) to a piston.
